Our founder
Mel started Angel Ashes so no family would face doubt about their pet’s ashes. Clear process. Steady guidance. Real care.
She also founded a Pet Loss Support Group — a place for families to connect and heal.

After uncertainty with her cat Oakley-Bean’s ashes, Mel built Angel Ashes around honesty, documentation, and comfort.

How long does cremation take?
Timing depends on the service and current bookings. We’ll confirm the timeframe when you arrange care.
Individual or Shared — what’s the difference?
Individual returns your companion’s ashes to you. Shared is with other pets, without ashes returned. We’ll help you choose.
Will the ashes really be my pet’s?
For Individual cremation — yes. Your companion is identified and documented at every stage, then ashes are returned to you alone. Shared does not return ashes.
How do I get my pet to you?
Bring your companion by appointment, or we can collect from participating vet clinics. Home collection is available for a fee.
Do you offer water and flame cremation?
Water cremation is our specialty. Flame is available on request — same dignity and base pricing.
What areas do you service?
Adelaide and many parts of South Australia. Contact us if you’re unsure.
Can I book after hours?
Yes — book online anytime. If you need to speak with someone, call 0419 589 229. After-hours options are available where possible.
Are memorial options available?
Yes — urns and keepsakes. We can talk through options at your pace.
